The Table That God Prepared

In the 23rd Psalm, David declared that God prepared a table before him. However, he notes that his enemies are present. Why would God do such a thing? What would prompt God to allow the presence of those that wish to see you harmed, struggling, and unhappy? The answer is always the same, he is seeking to show his power that unbelievers might believe.

Many times in life we find ourselves in uncomfortable positions following God's ordered steps. But we must remember that it is not a punishment but a promotion. God wants your haters and naysayers to realize that they can do absolutely nothing to stop the blessings of God on your life.

God nurtures us, provides for us, feeds us the Bread of Life (his word), and he does it all at the table while your enemies look on. They can talk across the table, but they are unable to reach you or the blessings that God is about to present to you.

We must realize that the David reaches the point of overflow after, his enemies are present. After the table is prepared and the enemies are present, God anointed his head which shows forth God's covering and protection over him. Then his cup overflows.

The point is this, in a season of overflow, don't think it strange when you have enemies showing up on every side. God is going to bless you with more than enough right in front of the very same ones that said you'll never make it, you can't do it, you don't deserve it, you're crazy, and especially those that said they'll believe it when they see it.

Let God prepare the table, you enjoy the feast of his blessings and be willing to let a little overflow to your enemies that they too can taste and see that the Lord is good.

Overcome obstacles, overpower the enemy, and overflow with blessings
