Spiritual Two-Minute Drill - My Amazing Testimony
I started out cleaning floors for $8/hr with people looking down at me and refusing to speak because I was the "janitor".
Fast forward 8 years later....(8 being the number of new beginnings)
I just handed in my resignation as the Cost Accountant and I am stepping into my new role as the Customer Service Accounting Manager. With this new role, I'll be able to learn aspects of business that I have not previously been able to explore. I'll also gain valuable experience leadership, which can prove helpful as I continue to grow as the Pastor of a church. Not to mentioned I just moved from a season of barely enough to more than enough. I am now walking in abundance.
God has blessed me beyond measure but I had to first endure the pain. I lost my grandfather, who was also my lifelong best friend. I've heard people talking about me. I've been unappreciated and there were times where the burden was so heavy that this grown man balled up and cried like a little kid wondering why God wouldn't answer me or step in to fix my problems. Like David, I learned yo encourage myself. In the pandemic, I was unemployed but I kept paying my tithes because I believed in God's promise.
Well he has finally opened that window of heaven and he has poured out so much that I cannot contain it all. Jesus promised in Matthew that you sacrifice for God will be given back to you one hundredfold in this lifetime and after eternal life.
This point is this... trust God no matter what. I have lived what Dottie Peoples used to sing about. He is an on-time God. And as the seasoned saints would say, "He may not come when you want him, but he will be there right on time".
God bless you all. Happy Friday. And I pray this will encourage you to keep pressing toward the mark.
