Motivation For The Perfectly Imperfect

This is for those that are less than perfect or that feel they must "get themselves together" before coming to Christ:

Noah - drinking problem but built an ark.

Abraham - slept with his wife's servant and laughed at God but is known as the friend of God and the father of many nations

David - had a man killed after sleeping with the man's wife and getting her pregnant but God saw him as a man after his own heart.

Solomon - had way too many women and fell into idol worship but is known as the wisest man to ever live.

Peter - had anger issues, was judgmental to gentiles, and denied Jesus to the point that he started swearing but was the one that officially declared that Jesus was indeed the Christ and our faith is built on the rock of that declaration.

Saul - responsible for the deaths and incarceration of many Christians but was later called Paul and wrote about half of the New Testament of the Bible.

Rev Greg Tyler - has drank like Noah, not taken God seriously like Abraham, had a baby prior to marriage like David, put others things before God like Solomon, had anger like Peter, and like Saul i have been responsible not for the deaths of people but the deaths of their joy when I've hurt them...yet God saw fit to use me to tell the world that if he can change me, the chief of sinners, he can change anybody.

This is a real testimony. I don't come seeking to soothe the saved, I come looking for the loss that I may lead them to Christ... and you cannot lead those you do not understand.

God can save and use anyone, including you. From this day forward never let another person make you feel that you are unworthy to praise God, seek God, ask of God, and believe in God. His love covers the multitude of our sins.
