God's Unlikely Vessels

With the ever increasing connectivity through social media, judgement has become a highly publicized and widespread issue. We are quick to try people in the court of public opinion without any knowledge or evidence concerning the given situation. We judge people based on there past and most often the negative aspects of it. While Jesus made it clear that we can identify a child of God by the fruit that they bear, he also said to judge not, that ye be not judged. Whatever manner you use to judge a person, you will be judged in like manner.

Have you ever noticed that God uses the most unqualified individuals by man's standards?

Not to name them all but he used...

Noah - who would get drunk and air out his birthday suit David - who was a peeping Tom that just had to have Bathsheba and would literally kill to have her. Solomon - thought he was a player with all of those strange women until they played him and had him worshiping other God's. Abraham - forgot rule #36 of the husband manual... when your wife says yes, she really means no. (This is why Ismael had to go) Peter - the ride or die that would cut you on sight Paul - refused to see the need for the gospel of Jesus until he was literally struck blind.

So what does that have to do with us today? Well it simply means that God can use the liar, the drunkard, the womanizer, the prostitute, the pimp, the homosexual, the straight, the drug dealer, the weed smoker, the gang banger, and all the rest of the people that we often frown upon. And he has, does, and will always use women. In Christ there is neither male nor female. God is a spirit and we that CHOOSE to worship him must do so in spirit and in truth.

So stop looking down on your neighbor because of their current state, condition, or situation. And please do not hold their past against them. Why? Well here is your golden nugget for the day:

The person you judge just may be the person that God attached your blessing to. Oh how bad would it feel to die of sickness and stare God in the face and to hear him say that you would have been healed but you rejected the person I assigned your healing to. Or to pray and have God say, I sent the money you needed for the operation. It was with the rich homosexual that you called a name when they asked for help.

Let that sink in as you thank God for keeping you another week.
