Be Careful of How You Treat Me

Its amazing how people often bite the hand that God has set aside to feed them. Many do not realize it, but Satan often uses a person to hurt the very one that God is trying to use to bless them. How often have you helped someone only to have them complain that you aren't doing enough? Maybe you've come across those that feel entitled to what you have because of your connection to them. I want to encourage all of us to be mindful of how we treat one another. Whatever you do to others whether in secret or openly, will surely come back to you.
Looking at the life of Joseph, it is easy to see why we should always conduct ourselves in a loving manner. His father, much like our heavenly father, showed much favor towards him. Because of the favor of the father on his life, Joseph's brothers became jealous and threw him in a pit and then sold him into slavery. 22 years later these same brothers found themselves at the mercy of Joseph and needed his permission to buy grain just to keep their family alive during the famine.
Job is another example. His friends accused him falsely of committing sin against God. God later addresses the friends of Job and he tells them that the only way they can obtain mercy and forgiveness is to go to Job and ask him to submit their offering and pray on their behalf. God was essentially saying that the only way to avoid my punishment for you is for the one you hurt to ask me not to punish you.
For Joseph and Job, God worked everything that happened to them for their good and he even put them in a position of elevation above those that had done wrong to them.
Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. If he did it for them, he can and will do it for you. Don't fight the battle, it belongs to God. Let him work everything for your good.
Be careful how you treat a child of God, you just might find yourself in need of them one day.
